WE
BELIEVE that there is one living and true GOD, eternally
existent, who
has revealed Himself to mankind in the FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT
which are one (same expression of the TRUE GOD), that this self
exist-ing God, created all, upholds all, and governs all.
WE BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST, God’s only begot-ten Son,
conceived by the
Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and
teachings, His substi-tutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection,
ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and
personal, visible return to earth.
WE BELIEVE in the HOLY SPIRIT, who came forth from the
Father and Son
to convict the world of sin, right-eousness, and judgment and to
regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in
Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus
Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We
be-lieve in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise
of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit.
WE BELIEVE that the 66 books of the Old and New Testament
constitute
the canon of the Divinely Inspired Word of God in the original
languages and manuscripts.
WE BELIEVE that man is sinful by nature and choice and is
therefore
under condemnation and in himself unable to remedy his lost condition.
WE BELIEVE that salvation is the gift of God brought to
man by grace
and received by repentance of sin and personal faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ.
WE BELIEVE the Lord Jesus Christ committed ordi-nances to
the church, including water baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
WE BELIEVE in the universal church, the living spiritual
body, of which
Christ is the Head and all regener-ated persons are members.
WE BELIEVE the life of the believer is to be sepa-rated
from the world
by consistent conduct before God and man, and is to be in the world as
a life-giving light.
WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible return of Christ to
earth and the
establishment of His Kingdom; in the res-urrection of the body; the
final judgment; and the eternal blessing of the righteous and endless
suffering of the wicked.
